The Heroes Dinner is the last Friday of the month at the Moscow Moose Lodge (210 N Main St) at 5:30pm, upstairs. Free to First Responders, Active Duty Military, and Veterans. Others pay $7/plate. Dinner menu varies and is always yummy. Veteran's group meeting follows dinner.
Info on Veteran's group:
Standing Tall is a Veterans’ Group hosted by Moose Lodge Valued Veterans
Mission: Support in the form of monthly meeting however the group wants it to run
Focus on interests (hiking, biking, four wheeling, fishing, snowmobiling etc) that will help process, relax, or just to hang out as a group of Veterans. Will have outside organizations come in to talk about how they can help (ie Uof I Law does estate planning/wills)

Other info... The event at the Eagles this Friday from 7 - 9pm is in conjunction with the VFW. The VFW will buy beer but other alcohol is on the individual. (I didn't think the Eagles could afford to pay for all the beer/alcohol!) Moose Lodge membership info... Dues go to support our Child City called Mooseheart and our Senior Citizen home called Moosehaven as well as local charities. We do fundraisers and service activities as well. The Social Quarters is a benefit of membership and is only open to members and their guests. People join the Moose for many different reasons... Some want to just support our causes by paying their dues. Some want to just come into the Social Quarters and drink/hang out/sing karaoke/play darts/play pool. Some want to get involved on the board or doing fundraisers/community service activities (Heroes dinner, food drive, etc). Dues for men are $55/year with a one-time $20 application fee to join.
